Meet Your IT Problem Solving Team
Karlos Barltrop | Managing Director
Originally from Oamaru, Karlos moved to Dunedin to go to Uni, fell in love with the place and made it his home. His love of design saw him complete a degree in Architectual Draughting which lead on to his passion for finding solutions to clients visions.
While completing an Information Science degree at Otago University he became an explosives engineer in the NZ Army, and later a systems engineer for Mainland Products, Computerland Dunedin and Computer Troubleshooters.
He could see that there was something missing in the IT market, IT for small business, that they could understand. EntireIT was born and for the last 15 years, he has been building a team to deliver services that are based on this concept.
As the face of the business, Karlos is heavily involved in client relations, managing the company and looking after sales.
Outside work Karlos loves doing things with his family, designing, building, watersports, and especially camping.
Jonathan Adlem | General Manager
Originally from East Anglia, in the UK, Jonathan moved to New Zealand in 2017 and joined EntireIT later that year.
Jonathan has a very impressive CV! He has worked in top UK organisations such as the NHS, Royal Mail, Tesco and Marks and Spencers in a variety of roles that include tech sales engineer, design and trial solutions, IT engineer, IT support and IS officer. He was also a civil engineering technician for the UK Environment Agency where he was involved with GIS flood mapping.
As the person in charge of technical sales at CT Business Solutions, Jonathon scopes out and offers solutions to customers, and puts quotations together.
A fast growing young boy and two dogs keep him busy outside business hours. But he is an accomplished archer and was Cambridgeshire County Champion for three years running.
Michele Polestra | Office Manager
Michele has been in Dunedin most of her life.
Previously employed by local medical centres, Michele joined EntireIT in 2014, rising from receptionist to office manager.
With five children and 10 grandchildren, Michele likes nothing more than taking off with the family caravan or on their motorbike for day trips and weekends.
Formerly a keen netballer, Michele enjoys cooking, baking and spending time with her family.
Stacey Anderson | Accounts Manager
Born in Mosgiel and mainly living locally, Stacey joined the EntireIT team in 2016 as Accounts Manager.
This followed several years’ teaching high school accounting in Canterbury and in Dunedin.
Before going teaching, Stacey worked in the accounting industry for almost 20 years, working her way up to fully qualified accountant while studying part-time for her BCom and Grad Dip.
Stacey looks after the accounting needs of Entire IT and helps to ensure clients’ IT requests are actioned in a timely manner.
Stacey likes to spend time with family enjoying the outdoors – especially beaches and rivers – supporting local events and exploring the city, along with tripping away for long weekends around Otago.
Philippa Dobbs | Administrative Assistant
Philippa was born in Roxburgh, moved around the country and back a few times before heading home to the south and settling in Dunedin. Philippa and Jamie both decided they wanted to raise their daughter “southern style”
Philippa’s work history is predominately accounts and customer service based with court work and administration in two engineering workshops thrown in for interest sake. She took some time off work to study professional food and beverage service and audio engineering for a change of scenery.
After filling in at EntireIT for a few weeks (and not just to keep an eye on Jamie…) she decided to stay and become a permanent member of the team doing administration and occasional menu planning.
In her spare time Philippa likes to write and has a horse that keeps her pretty busy.
Jamie Dobbs | Senior Systems Engineer / Team Leader
Jamie is originally from Westport but has lived in Porirua, Christchurch, Bluff, Westport (again!), Blenheim, Wellington and Auckland. He saw the light and relocated to Dunedin eight years ago because he “loved the feeling of the city when we visited it”.
With over eight years at EntireIT under his belt, Jamie is responsible for ensuring that client computer systems are always running at peak efficiency. This includes both fixing current issues and identifying potential ones before they cause problems. Jamie is also the go-to person in the company when other technicians run across curly problems they need help with.
Jamie has worked in systems engineer / network engineer / help desk-type roles for companies such as Cerno NZ, Foodstuffs, Datacom Engineering, Datacom Systems, and the NZ Press Association.
Even when he’s not at work, Jamie spends time 'tinkering' with computers, networks and technology but he also enjoys cooking, reading, listening to music and playing with Lego with his ten year old daughter (although if he were to be honest he probably enjoys Lego far more than she does and he spends many hours building kits and designing and build his own creations)
Of himself Jamie says, “Some people might say that I am a little (OK, maybe a lot) OCD. Perhaps I am, but I wouldn't agree 100%, as the letters are in the wrong order!”
Brendan McNeil | Systems Engineer
Brendan is the only member of the team who is a true born-and-bred local.
He has been with the company since 2016, supporting the company’s managed systems, and installing computers, phone systems and wireless solutions for clients.
Brendan has worked with computers in one form or another all his career. After completing his BIT degree at Otago Polytech he began work at Dunedin Public Hospital. Later, he worked for Foodstuffs as a technical engineer installing point of sale equipment at Four Square stores throughout the South Island.
He also worked at the DCC for several years, rising to systems engineer.
Outside work Brendan likes to camp, tramp and play computer games. But most of all he loves spending time with his family, as he has a little boy who’s “an absolute blast to be around”.
Winsome Stewart | Systems Engineer
Harvinder Jaj | Senior Helpdesk Technician
Cody Williams | Helpdesk Technician
Cody is our newest staff member at EntireIT and comes straight from studying at Otago polytechnic. He really enjoys the challenge that IT delivers and that there is always something different to see.
During Cody study he was fortunate enough interned for the New Zealand Police in the cyber crimes division, he has told us it was a very interesting opportunity but as he is sworn in, he said that if he told us any more he would have to ....... Anyway Cody is looking forward to advancing his skills and working with our wonderful clients.
Jeremy Meldrum-Harris | Helpdesk Technician
Jeremy started with us here at EntireIT as a after school Intern and is now studying at Otago University in Mathematics and Information Science. He has been a great asset over the years and was instrumental in the migration of one of our largest systems. He has a keen attention to detail and we are looking forward to seeing Jeremy growing his IT career in the years to come.
Iszac Barltrop | EIT Intern
Iszac has been fascinated by IT from a very early age choosing to take apart the primary school laptops when required, in his early days even when not required..... and has joined the team as an after school intern to learn the ropes, he is a student at Kavanagh college and enjoys learning all the different aspects of IT.
